Monday 2nd August 2010 - More bragging dad.

The midwife called today. It was a good visit. Now we really do play the waiting game. Will it be tomorrow? Will Baby 3 be born tomorrow? According to the midwife, Baby 3 is head down and in the right position for birth. Mum feels yucky and the rest we will leave unsaid. It's better that way. Officially Mum is 37 weeks pregnant. And so we play the waiting game. I start holidays next Sunday which is the 8th August.
Now, bragging time. Dear Daughter Number 1 did herself proud again today. We went to her school, Karingal Heights Primary School, check out the web site, no we are not much proud of the school, recently had a Jump Rope For Heart day for the Heart Foundations. Each child was encouraged to find sponsors and have a go. There were prizes for the most money collect. No, Michele didn't collect the most. That went to another little girl in her class. But Michele did earn enough in sponsorship to win a prize of softball gloves and other stuff. Well done my little one.
Not to forget Cathy, who is no just Cathy. For a while she was "normal Cathy", now she is just "Cathy". Tonight we had our devotional time at the table after dinner. The devotional consists of a story with questions followed by a prayer. Michele read the devotional and then asked the questions. Cathy answered all the questions and correctly. She showed, that although only 3, she understood completely what was being talked about.
This week we are in 2 Samuel 1-12. David is king. King David makes lots of errors. He protects those he shouldn't in Chapter 4. In Chapter 5 he takes lots of wives. This is a no no. One man, one wife. He sets himself up for a fall. He also reclaims Michal who is not happy about this. In chapter 6 he brings the Ark to Jerusalem. First time wrong, second he gets it right. Through all this, he shows he has a heart for God. Although he is a man, his heart is in God. A sinner, just like you and me. Fallible, just like you and me. But loving God and seeking God.
Tomorrow.
