Thursday 6th September 2007. More bragging.

Michele and Cathy had their Child health checks today.

Michele is now 17.4 kg or 38.36 pounds. She is 108 centimetres tall or 3.5feet tall. She is off the scale for her height and just in the scale for weight. Although she hasn't recorded it the nurse confirmed that Michele's right foot is turned in. We are currently waiting for a call from the Melbourne Children's Hospital to have her checked. Her physical development apart from that is fine. Her mental development is well above average for age. Just as also a point of interest, Michele is to go to 4 year old preschool next year. Apparently it is not automatic progression as I had thought. However, we have had the offer in the mail and have accepted it. The down side is that she wont be doing playgroup next year as it clashes with preschool. She is one clever kid.

Catherine is now 7.575 kilograms, or 12 pounds. By the way, at the same age, Michele was 8.140 kilograms. Cathy is 69 centimetres or 2.67 feet. Again, at the same age, Michele was 70 centimetres. Cathy is at the upper end of the height and weight for her age scale. The health nurse has no concerns with either child. That is very encouraging. She told Stephanie to keep on keeping on. Obviously what Stephanie is doing is correct.

Today I was one of the volunteer parents at Michele's preschool. The teachers there are very pleased with her progress. That were some things that she wouldn't do at the beginning of the year but that she will now. Things like group participation. Michele wouldn't do that at all. She just wouldn't join in. Yet when she got home she could tell us everything that happened and do it all. Apparently that has now changed.

Cathy is not yet rolling over and the Health Nurse doesn't seem to think she will. She thinks Cathy will just crawl. Well, maybe she might just be right. She lifts her self quite well on her arms and legs when on her belly. In fact today she even managed to propel herself forward. It is gradual but she will get there.

Well, I am allowed to brag. That's what men do! I can't take any credit. That belongs entirely to Stephanie. After all, she is the one who does all the hard work!
