Radio is my hobby. Jesus is my life. My family is my first love. And when I have time I play with radio. Ham Radio that is. No, you cant eat it. You do it. Amateur Radio. Now we don't act. Well, that is not strictly true. When our radios and antennas don't play ball then we do. We act like spoilt two year olds having a tantrum.
We built antennas to work our favourite bands. No, that is not a music group. A band is a set of radio frequencies. For example, that 80 metre band cover from 3.5 megahertz to 3.8 megahertz and the typical antenna wil be 40 metres long. Just a wee bit bigger that your average TV antenna.

That is a TV antenna. Complicated looking animal. I could built that antenna. It is designed to work on two frequency's.
My antenna is just a wee bit bigger in size.

No, that's not my antenna. But the wire antennas are like mine. I have 4 wire antenna. No I don't share.
If you look at the gadget I have added called Solar Prediction on the top right hand side you will see our bread and butter. Solar activity pretty well governs what we do. No solar activity on the sun, no radio activity down here on planet earth.
That will do for now. Just a wee sample of what I do in my spare time.
