I heard an interesting comment this morning whilst listening to a podcast on Buddhism. It was on anger. Anger and hatred are selfish emotions. The focus is on the "me". Some one has pushed my button and I instinctively want to make that person pay. Interesting. I think this is timely. Maybe Christ wanted me to listen to that podcast.
A good friend of mine wrote a blog post regarding hearing God speak to us. He will speak to us through His word. But also through circumstances within which we may find ourselves. Above all we must be quiet. How can we hear Him if we are yaping all the time.
Another comment, this time regarding depression. How to beat depression. Take my eyes off myself and how I feel and focus on something else. This one is very true. When we focus on ourselves we become inward looking. Occasionally we do need to look at who we are and what we are doing. But to do that to the exclusion of all else is unhealthy.
Finally, we are one week away from a major event in our lives. A week from today Stephanie and I have been married for nine wonderful years. What will the next nine years bring?
This is interesting. Good on you Sarah.
