Saturday 27th November 2010 - Amish

I like the simple life. I guess this is one reason why I have chosen to down size financially. It's called de-cluttering. Which is another way of getting rid of junk. All that stuff that we think we absolutely cannot do without when we purchase it, but then find we can and now it is taking up valuable space.
We really didn't need the financial headache of owning - part owning at least - a couple of properties. Also I am geting... well you have read it all before.
That brings me to the Amish. You can read all about them over here at Amish America. I always had this idea that they lived uncomplicated life styles. Was I wrong! Look at this. After reading The Amish Community I have had to change my mind. Then I read The New York Amish. I think, after reading that I will certainly need to rethink my ideas. They are anything other than uncomplicated. There are huge difference between Amish from one state to another.
