Michele now is 4 years old as of the 5Th January. And, as she is now 4, that means she gets 4 kisses and 4 hugs every night. Tonight was different. I got 4 kisses and 4 hugs. Stephanie got 4 kisses and 8 hugs. When asked why the 8 hugs? "Because your very big, Mummy." At four, they are very honest. Some times too honest.
What did Cathy get? A big fat raspberry from Dad and milk and hugs from Mum.
And, now for the never ending saga of trying (yes it is trying) to get one small Bible on one even smaller computer running Linux. Well, I have had success or a sort. I know have Gnome's Word installed and running. Of course as yet I have no short cut key so I have to pack a cut lunch and a water bottle for my excursion into the innards of the computer to find it. But it works. Now I am still trying to get Bible Desktop to work. It is a far better program. However, so far I can only get it to work if I am on line. So, I keep on keeping on.
And now it seems I have upset some folks with my musings. Seem they didn't like my post of the 10Th January regarding a statement made by William Booth. That's fine. The only trouble is they took the bit they quoted out of context. It would have been far better if they had read the blog in the first instance and in the second, if they had kept it in context. I like something Stuart Briscoe once said. Some times when one takes the text out of context one is left with a con.
Now, I do read other blogs. I like Katie at Team Bettendorf and her Husband Jeff at Oh My Dad. They have a mutual admiration society going similar to the one that Stephanie and I have going. Their parenting style is the same as ours, only they are better at it.
And last but not least, if you take the number in my blog, it is the year I was born. I got a year older on the 20Th January. My wife tells me I should act my age. But, really, somethings are impossible!
