Do you have a recording of this, or know of one? Please do let me know. I found it here. The song is true. Very very true. If it's not true for you then, please write to me that I can explain more.

Thursday 29th November 2007 Mash!
What is bangers and mash? Why I am glad you asked. Mash is mashed potatoes. Take some potatoes, add butter and milk and mash to an uncooked cake consistency. One can add chopped union or grated cheese to that. It is very yummy although those on a diet should refrain! Oh, my dearest darling wife said I should explain bangers. Bangers are sausages. I also call them mystery bags coz no one knows whats in then. But they are delicious! Of course with yer bangers'n'mash you gotta have loads of gravy. All very fattening, guaranteed to add feet to the waste line. If you want some really yummy ozy recipe's go here. There are lots of goodies to keep you cooking for a very long time.
My 11 our day has just been reduced by 2.5 hours per day. I am now working locally. I did use to start in Flinders Street which entailed a 3 hour round trip per day. So, what was an eleven hour day is now 8.5 hour day. That is much more betterer. Now I start at Frankston. What do I do for a "crust". Why I am glad you asked. I transport people to and from where ever they want to go from to where ever they want to go to.

Wednesday 21st November 2007 Bangers and mash
What's that got to with anything? Why I am glad you asked. It is a challenge from Godly Tomatoes. The challenge for the week was to do something in the kitchen with our children. Michele loves bangers and mash, so that's what we are cooking. The veggies have been prepared and she is just watching a program on TV just now. We will go cook and then report later. Maybe a photo or two just coz we can.
We got the challenge from Godly Tomatoes but get most of our ideas from No Greater Pearl. They have lots of good idea and in depth descriptions to go with it.

Saturday 17th November 2007 Roast Lamb....
That's what we had for our evening meal and it was yummy. Who were the chef/s? Michele and myself. Stephanie was banned from the Kitchen. The roast was lamb with potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato and cauliflower cheese followed by home made custard and ice cream. It was extremely nice. Stephanie went back for seconds as did Michele. It is always good when people enjoy your cooking. Trouble is in this house we all enjoy cooking. Yes, even Michele loves to get messy in the Kitchen. Today she helped prepare the veggies and then stirred the cheese sauce. She also stirred the custard and the gravy. She is very good at what she does and I appreciate her help when it is mine to cook. She does have a toy kitchen but we insist that when cooking in the real kitchen is happening, her toy kitchen is out of bounds.
Cathy did what all 8 month old's do. She slept and played.
For Michele and myself it is more than just a time of cooking. It is also a time for talking and friendship and training. Of course she wanders off from time to time. But that's OK. The main thing is that she tries.
This morning I had my usual breakfast with the Triple M group from St Luke's. Then after that a number of us met at the church for prayer. Our Vicar, Phil, has a number of things on his mind and so we met to pray about those things plus other matters. Prayer is vital to our growth in Christ and for me, it is encouraging that our Vicar should call us together to share his burden for the community. It is his intention for us to meet once a month for this dedicated time of prayer. There are a number of prayer ministries running and this is another.

Tuesday 13th November 2007 Town

This is an oldie but a goody. No, Stephanie is not scratching fleas! We in this house are Baby Wearer's. What is a baby wearer? Why I am glad you asked. A baby wearer is one who wears their child until the child is either too heavy to carry or the child can walk. Why are we baby wearers? Because when we placed our babies in a pram they squawk and we finish up carrying them any way and using the pram as a shopping trolley. Do our baby's finish up being "clingy"? No. Why? Because at the appropriate time they seek to be out of our arms and off exploring on their own. Michele was a party baby wearer baby. She is totally independent now but will seek us out when she needs to. Go here to look. Be warned it is a huge site. I don't know much about it. Stephanie knows more. I just see the results and approve. Go here for another view. Also have a look here. No we are not permissive parents. Permissive parents are child abusers in my egotistical opinion.
Why did I post the picture? Why, I am glad you asked. We wanted a feed so Stephanie traveled 60 minutes on a train to meet me in Melbourne after I finished work so we could go have pan cakes for lunch! We all, including Catherine, love pancakes.
Now for you prophecy students. How much was King Solomon paid each year by his subjects? How many steps from the ground to his throne? Is there a significance in this? Numerically, what does it stand for?

Monday 12 November 2007 Mirrors
I am currently in the business of catching up with little jobs I have promised to do for a while. Michele now has her swing in the back yard. We got it almost 12 months ago and hadn't got around to setting it up. She has been asking me to do it for a while and now it is done. And she is now a happy camper again. Stephanie's dad gave us a BBQ. He pulled it to bits to transport it here. Now I have to put it back together. That's what I will do this Saturday. On Friday we are going to have a picnic in the park. Another promise we will keep.
Then there is the foyer I must finish painting.
Should I get on my soap box this time? Yes, why not. After all I have to live up to my egotistical reputation don't I. I had a full and frank discussion with a colleague the other day. Apparently his nephew (age 12) got into trouble for throwing eggs at the neighbours house. The nephew's parents where at the pictures or some such thing and the young fellow was home alone. Of course when his parents arrived home and found out they were horrified and set forth to punish the youngster. Sound about correct. Well I asked a rather silly question. Like, what was he doing home alone in the first place. The response was that at 12 years old he should be responsible enough not to do throw eggs at the next door neighbour's house. I disagree and said so. Oh, silly me. As I said at the time, no 12 year old should be home alone. It is placing temptation in front of a child that they should not be tempted with. Yes, he ought not to have thrown the eggs, but also he should not have been placed in a position where he could or there was the possibility that he would. At 12 a child should be guided and trained not left to their own means.
Enough of me.

Saturday 10th November 2007 What is today?
Six years ago today a very important event occurred in the life of Stephanie and myself. We got married. Yes, I married my wonderful wife.
What are we going to do today? Under the 1909 secrecy act, part a, paragraph 14, sub paragraph 9, if I tell you I have to exterminate you!
I could be rude and tell you it is none of your business, but that would be rude.
I love my wife and wish I had some photo's... well maybe I will go look for some later. But not now!
Good bye and may God bless you what ever you do today. As for me.......

Monday 5th November 2007 Chookahs

This is what happens when we do Chookah's. Chookah's happens once a year at the Melbourne Arts Centre. Unfortuately I don't have a web site for Chookah's. Yes I do! How long that link will work for I don't know. It is said to be aimed at the 3 to 8 year old ages. However as you can see in the photo even Cathy got in on the act. I have other photo's but wont put them up here. They are too fuzzy. Enough to say the kids enjoyed themselves. Both slept very well.1 Kings 3
Ever heard of typology? Well you have now. There are lots of types in the Bible. And certain things/places have a word association of type. They can be symbols. Red, for example, is a associated with blood and sacrifice. Silver with redemtion, gold diety and so on. I think you get the drift of what I am on about now.
OK, that said, places can also have a word association and a type. The one we encounter here in the bigginning of chapter 3 is "Egypt". Egypt is a type of the world. So, where one sees the word "Egypt", Biblical speaking, one can substitute "world". Now in chapter 3 there are 2 things to note.
Firstly, Solomon chooses a bride from Egypt. Never mind the alliance herein spoken of. We are called to come out of the world and its ways. Solomon should have done the same. This is to be his undoing.
For the time being, God overlooks this. just as He does with us when we do something not quite kosher. Secondly, take a look at verse 5. No mention here of verse 1. God gets straight to the heart of the matter. This is not the first time we see this. Go have a look at Exodus 3 verse 1. If you read chapter 2 then you know where Moses is at. Yet God doesn't even mention it. I am amazed at this. However, let me pose a question. Does Christ tell us to go clean ourselves up then come calling on Him. No, most certainly not. Come unto Me and I will give you rest.
"Typology" literally means the study of types.
"Typology" in Christian theology, the interpretation of some characters and stories in the Old Testament as allegories foreshadowing the New Testament.
The End.
Now here I will add the following.
Most would comment on Solomon's prayer on wisdom. It is good I will admit. But when I read the chapter today, that is not what stood out the most to me. And when I write up the reading I write up what hits me the most.
